The riders travelled without support vehicles, carried just what they fit onto their bikes. They completed the journey in 10 days, arrived in Tbilisi on 3rd August 2008. That passed over 500 kilometers and one and a half countries a day.

Rally London to Tbilisi 2009 was in aid of Saphekhurebi and Julia`s House. More information about Saphekhurebi and Julia`s House can be found on the menu “Why are they doing it”.

Levan Vasadze said, “I am very excited to be taking part in this year s London-2-Tbilisi Rally. We hope the rally continues as a charity fundraiser and a sporting event which allows us to contribute to good causes and test our riding skills to the full.  Co-founded by Lord Gillford and myself last year I am pleased that this year s rally has doubled in size and grateful for all the support we have received.”

Commenting on the rally, Lord Gillford (Paddy to his fellow riders) said. “I have an indescribable sense of regret that I am unable to join Levan and the team on this the second London-2-Tbilisi Rally. Last year was without doubt the most exciting and adventurous motorcycle journey I ve ever been on. The route and conditions, which deteriorate the further east you travel, tests even the most experienced of riders throughout the journey. I wish these intrepid adventurers God speed and a safe journey.”
